About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team that work to support a large fleet management contract for the MoD.
You will support the finance team to help deliver day to day and monthly finance activities, such as variance analysis and forecasting/budgeting. You will also assist in Fixed Asset Management of circa 1,000 vehicles, payroll reconciliation, preparation of accruals and journals for month end as well as assisting in budgeting & forecasting cycles and billing and aged debt analysis.
What do I need to do the role?
The ideal candidate will be a part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA) or qualified at AAT Technician level or qualified by experience.

- Intermediate Excel skills are essential
- Knowledge of management accounting - month end accounts production and reconciliation (P&L, Balance sheet & Cash Flow)
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and to deadlines
- The role is office based from our location in Aztec West, Bristol
- This role can be considered for flexible working
- The role does require the successful applicant to be eligible for MoD security clearance (SC) this will be completed by us at the point of offer.
