Test Engineer

Job Role: Test Engineer (PYTHON Experience)

Contract Length: 10 Months initially(Inside of IR35)

Location: Southampton


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced test engineer to join this Southampton based organisation within the engineering group to drive the test automation and performance activities for a large geospatial investment project.

Essential Experience:

*Proven experience of delivering automated test frameworks (Python) in a test-first CI/CD environment is essential
*Experience of defining and implementing performance testing of a large and complex programme
*Proven analytical skills, designing and implementing BDD feature files for functional and non-functional test activities is essential
*Proven technical skills in one or more of the following tools is essential: Azure DevOps, Cucumber, JMeter, Selenium
*Working knowledge of programming languages and frameworks such as: C#, FME, JavaScript, Python, SQL, Visual Studio
*Data test experience, particularly with ETL systems
*Familiarity with RESTful interface testing
*Experience of allocating and prioritising own work and working across multiple delivery teams
*Good knowledge of agile methodologies and software engineering best practice
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and customers
