Procurement Manager

We are looking for a forward thinking and driven Procurement Manager to ensure the effective procurement of materials, components, major work packages and services. You will be expected to coordinate the procurement activities for designated Commodities or for a group of Value Streams within the Business Unit focussing on MTP 'made to print'/ mechanical commodity and programs related to Typhoon/Eurofighter airframe. Given workshare complexity with Italian partners, the Procurement manager will be heavily involved in ongoing sub-contract management and negotiation.

As part of your role you will be responsible for:

*Managing the end to end supply chain relationship with a specified group of vendors to ensure the best possible quality, cost, delivery and overall supplier reliability for the Business Unit
*Undertake sourcing/selection processes in line with policy for allocated work packages
*Undertake supplier relationship management tasking for allocated supply base i.e. business reviews, tactical improvement initiatives, supplier development etc.
*Work with buyers to ensure all purchase orders are issued IAW RTO/MRP demand
*Ensure all MRP exception message are executed in line with requirements

You will have the following experience

*Perform all operations according to appropriate regulations (FAR, DFAR, ITAR, EAR) and in accordance with company standards
*Co-operates with management to meet the employer's legal duties and take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions
*Previous experience as a senior buyer or Procurement Manager within a technology company (ideally mechanical/aerospace)
*Supplier relationship management
*Technical knowledge of commodity management
