Production Operations Manager
Location: Devonport, Plymouth

About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit Production Operations Manager to join the team.
The Production team operates out from the Combined Weapons Electrical Workshop (CWEW) situated in the Granby Yard enclave at Devonport. The team currently undertake Maintenance, modification, defect rectification, repair and overhaul of a wide range of weapon systems and equipment in support of the Royal Navy. All of the production contracts currently operates over the operational support for the equipment as well as the post design services (PDS). There is a requirement for the weapons team to provide worldwide, twenty four seven engineering support to meet the equipment availability KPIs demanded by our customer.

What do I need to do the role?
You'll need to have e xperience of production and safety case management with good communication skills across all levels of the business. You will represent the company at the customers DIP and MCC meetings and act as weapons engineering SME at the customer's quarterly project review meetings.

Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:

  • Electrical/Mechanical Engineering background essential, as well as the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Provide technical guidance to bid and business development teams.
  • Knowledge of DRDL company systems and processes - desirable.
  • Sound understanding of heavy engineering production systems.
  • Successful candidate must have a strong H&S ethic.
  • Ability to travel to attend meeting both within the UK and abroad.
  • Available to travel at short notice.

Lastly, you'll need to have an e ngineering qualification at HNC or above. Hold a Full UK driving licence and Full UK passport.
