About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit experienced Engineers to join our Systems Engineering team in Bristol.
Marine systems engineers will undertake engineering investigations of, and provide technical advice and recommendations for, engineering projects as an integral part of the Marine Systems Support Partner (MSSP) Systems Technical Authority for the Queen Elizabeth and Type 45 Classes Royal Naval Vessels. This includes, in conjunction with the other members of the engineering team, acting as the focal point in identifying issues and risks associated with marine systems design intent.
What do I need to do the role?
You'll carry out technical investigations and analyses and evaluate engineering technical issues through the application of systems engineering principals including preparing reports and making technical recommendations to Chief Engineers so excellent engineering investigation, analysis and communications skills will be required for this key role.
Would also like you to be able to demonstrate the following:
  • A minimum of an HNC in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of the engineering design or support of complex engineering systems or equipment, ideally within Marine sector but can consider Oil & Gas, Pharma, Food Production etc so long as able to apply systems engineering principals
  • A proven ability to work in a collaborative manner across a multi-disciplinary team and stakeholders.
  • Able to gain and maintain necessary Security Clearance to carry out this role
