AWE are currently recruiting for a Business Risk Specialist it would be ideal for someone wishing to develop, improve their knowledge of the business and exposure across AWE. This would be an opportunity to learn new skills with the potential to help you develop into your next role or change careers.

Location - Reading area

Package - £33,000 - £40,000 subject to skills and experience

A salary sacrifice scheme is also available. The ideal candidate would be able to develop strong stakeholder relationships with people across the business at all levels. Capable of handling challenging situations with the ability to influence to achieve successful outcomes. Willingness to proactively share knowledge and experience from previous roles to educate and develop the risk team.

Deliver risk management activities in accordance with the company risk and opportunities process and procedures within a specified area of the business, Tier 2/CAM Level and below. You would not be expected to have previous risk experience, these are all skills you would learn on the job. The below accountabilities:

  • Delivery of risk, opportunities and confidence modelling service, in line with the company process and procedure
  • Identification and development of improvements to the end-to-end risk and opportunity management processes and procedures
  • Effective use of the company risk management and confidence modelling tools and templates.
  • Ensuring the delivery of quality risk registers and confidence modelling for the specified area, in support of the decision-making process
  • Facilitating risk reviews and ensuring the risk process is properly understood, applied and delivers value in supporting overall management of that areas components of the Programme/Project
  • Working with stakeholders to promote and embed risk management within business area, ensuring that the risk process is properly understood, applied and delivers value in supporting overall management of that area's components of the Programme/Project
  • Developing and maintaining working relationships with and awareness of key internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player

Individuals interested in this permanent opportunity will be required to be eligible for UK Security Clearance.
