Principal Systems Engineer

Principal Systems Engineer is required to be responsible for defining, implementing and rolling out of systems engineering processes and procedures in support of future capabilities.

Typical activities will include:

Support Engineering lead in developing the overall SDA capability.

Develop 'best practice' processes and governance .

Develop practices for requirements management, engineering management, trade studies and the wider aspects of Systems Engineering.

Work with the Authority staff to develop artefacts and technical governance procedures.

Support Transition of SDA capability to the Authority staff.

Provide subject Matter expertise to Authority staff.

The successful candidates will have the below skills/experience:

Extensive knowledge of System Engineering design practice and methods at a Prime Systems Integrator capability level for System design, development, deployment and operation.

Ability to coach/mentor/transfer skills and knowledge.

Significant experience of applying Systems Architecture policies, processes, methods and practice for systems through design, develop and deployment.

Demonstrable experience in developing and adapting processes for application to new projects/programs.

Candidates must be willing to undergo the security vetting procedure.
