About the role

Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Vehicle Mechanic to carry out the diagnosis, inspection, servicing, repair and overhaul to a variety of vehicles and general electro-mechanical equipment types, in accordance with technical publications, Army Equipment Support Publications (AESP's) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).

You will carry out tasks to the required standard and specification as detailed on the job card, in accordance with AESP's, customer requirements, current regulations, local instructions, process plans and other technical publications as may be prescribed.

You will also undertake diagnostic, repair and maintenance duties on equipment, and to carry out road testing/functionality testing with completion of equipment documentation and test certificates / reports when required and any other duties as detailed.

What do I need to do the role?

You'll need a recognised apprenticeship or appropriate training qualification to skilled status/Class 1 Vehicle Mechanic and you must be a competent user of the appropriate IT packages and hold SC Clearance level authorisation.

What else do I need to know?

This role could be considered for flexible working.
