A Junior Communications Engineering Consultant is required by are required by prestigious organisation in their Bristol offices.

Due to consistent growth and workload, my client are looking to recruit talented and motivated Junior Communications Engineering Consultant with strong technical expertise. You will be responsible for successfully applying technical knowledge and innovation to the development of current and future military-specific communications systems. Systems include SatComs, RF, Line of Site, Beyond Line of Site, Mobile Technologies or management systems.

You will be working to help their clients deliver major UK communications and information systems, you will use your technical knowhow and skills to advise, formulate and de-risk procurement options. This will include engaging directly with clients, stakeholders and industry to gather information and shape views using technical evidence, analysis and sound judgement.

Essential Skills for the Junior Communications Engineering Consultant:

  • Hold SC clearance (or be eligible for SC)
  • Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in an Engineering, Science or Communications discipline.
  • An understanding of Systems Engineering principles and how own area integrates into others.
  • Passion to learn current and future communication technologies and proactively anticipate possible risks.
  • Good understanding of procedures and concepts within own discipline and a basic knowledge of these elements in other disciplines.
  • Sound and comprehensive communications skills are required in order to exchange complex information, to include generating reports or presentations.
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of teams and to undertake tasks unsupervised and manage own workload.
