A leading defence and security consultancy who are known to have some of the most intelligent workforce across the UK are looking to bring in an experienced aerospace systems engineer to join their System Engineering Centre of Excellence.
Due to billions of £ of investment and organisational growth and securing prestigious national and international projects they are expanding their team, bringing in new talent to complement their existing teams.
This opportunity suits an engineer interested in using systems engineering skills to deliver building and facility infrastructure that will underpin our client's future operations at the site. You will need an interest in HSE compliance relating to storage and management of explosives as well as the delivery of enabling facilities such as the installation of X-ray equipment. Central to this role, is a close working relationship with users and stakeholders. The aim is to hand over the facilities to operations management team.
Role Profile:
- You will be responsible for proposing and delivering the solution, working closely with the Programme Manager and technical leadership team.
- Ensure compliance with HSE
- Provision of an X-Ray installation to replace the service currently provided
- Compliance, assurance, hazardous activity management and design certification
- Work independently and collaboratively planning, communicating and delivering output.
- Manage delivery and acceptance process to deliver capability

- Experienced in Engineering, Scientific and Technical Management Processes
- Whole engineering lifecycle - Requirements, design, build and test, verification and validation, transition and release to service, disposal planning.

You will be a key member of the programme delivery team and its extended network
In addition, you will be part of the broader Systems Engineering team of ~350, who work across breadth of activities. You will be expected to network and contribute to the growth of the SE discipline, engineering excellence and best practice initiatives.
Please note candidates will be required to undergo Security Clearance and therefore must be eligible to work in the UK and have resided within the UK for the last 5 years.
