- To provide leadership to a team of people managers within an area or business segment. Overall responsibility for EHS, Quality, Cost and manpower planning, with the purpose of meeting productivity and operating targets.
- Provide product area leadership in the achievement of goals with respect to EHS, Quality, Cost, Production, Manpower and Compliance
- Pursue state of the art technology and processes to enhance product/process predictability and delivered quality requirements
- Interface with other organisations and vendors to assure requirements are met on time
- Provide on-going support in scheduling resources, technical leadership and facilitating the flow of hardware to meet customer requirements
- Advocate Six Sigma rigors to all functions within the product area, driving on-going improvements and the Lean Vision of the value stream
- Support Action Workouts and utilise Lean Six Sigma tools to improve processes
- Ensure communication of key business / customer issues to employees
- Achieve highest levels of internal and external customer service
- Support Senior Operations Manager (IPT Lead) in the strategic planning of manpower, equipment and other resources
- Select, hire, train, develop, and provide ongoing leadership and direction of assigned personnel
- Flow Leader and Shop employees and drive engagement - Line management of a group of Flow Leaders
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent knowledge or experience
- Experience in a manufacturing leadership role

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience is preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Prior experience as a leader within a manufacturing area and with implementing productivity tools is preferred
- Strong organisational skills
- Six Sigma training is preferred (GE employees only)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion
- Ability to anticipate customer needs and ensure that they are met
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
