Role Summary/Purpose:
    The Lead Program Specialist drives collaboration to ensure the best management of the program, in order to meet the Company's targets and identify and mitigate financial and operating risks. The successful candidate is a customer advocate and has a comprehensive knowledge of contract/program management, finance, legal terms & conditions, best practice, company processes & procedures with special focus on Quality, Quality Systems, Supply Chain and Engineering.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for functional, business, and broad company objectives for defined projects
  • Act as primary point of contact for the customer, with accountability to resolve identifies issues in a manner which delights the customer, and meets the GE Beliefs
  • Resolve and manage issues in both an engineering service and manufacturing environment
  • Challenge and present data and information to inform all stakeholders of the necessary milestones to deliver the contractual needs, and subsequently lead the delivery of those milestones
  • Track risks, issues and dependencies as appropriate, to deliver the requirements to contract, including escalating when appropriate
  • Report regularly on project progress to stakeholders, including definition of risks and issues and the actions to solve
  • Conform, drive and uphold the GE Beliefs to the highest standards
  • Establish, operate and lead (where necessary) within a multi-functional team to deliver and act as the voice of the customer
  • Review and act upon quality and lessons identified to improve process and efficiencies.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with proven experience in Product or Program Management) or equivalent knowledge and experience
