- The Production Team Leader will demonstrate leadership in communicating and delivering business goals, programmes, and processes for manufacturing/Assembly of avionics products. In this role you will utilise your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop solutions and execute objectives for yourself, and others, to deliver our short-term and some long-term business goals.
- • Day-to-day tactical management of operators, aimed at maximising manufacturing cell output in a safe working environment adhering to Regulatory and quality standards.
• A front line manager providing leadership and coaching for operations employees, driving engagement and motivation in the teams.
• Set the day-to-day direction for the teams and resolve escalated problems in the work area.
• Team development, deployment and performance management.
• Support the Avionics visual management processes.
• Administration and Voucher Management (including Holiday, overtime, absence and other bookings on Kronos)
• Support the development of 'self-empowered' teams.
• Drive an EHS and Quality culture within the teams and set the example for good practice.
• Carry out risk assessments; EHS and Quality audits; arrange health surveillance; promote accident prevention and investigations; ensure calibration and zero Quality escapes.
• Promote and develop customer satisfaction and positive customer relationships through on-time delivery of high quality repairs.
• Understand strategies for ensuring manufacturing processes meet product conformity requirements.
• Identify and effectively deal with bottlenecks that will affect the cell output and escalate where appropriate.
• Implement contingency plans, when required (e.g. test equipment breakdown).
• Be responsible for providing direction in line with our customers' requirements and business goals.
• Assist the GEAPS Leader to identify, develop and deliver process changes for 'cost out' and repair performance improvements.
• Enforce Campus policies and practices for consistency.
• Review labour efficiency reports, determine causes for variances, and initiate prompt corrective action.
- • Degree qualification or equivalent with knowledge or experience of supply chain manufacturing operation.
• Proven leadership, verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
• Time management, scheduling and prioritisation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with utilising and creating effective MS Excel spreadsheets to convert data into decision making information.
• MSWord, Outlook; PowerPoint.
• Ability to appropriately prioritise resources based upon output target.
• Experience of implementing Change.
