- This Indirect Tax Operations Manager role is an exciting new position within GE Aviation's Global Tax team. The role covers responsibility for strategy and management of all aspects of the business' Indirect Tax compliance and reporting operations as well as providing general Indirect Tax advice to the business, financial commercial and legal team as required.
- As a management role, the focus is both strategic (development of new compliance management processes) and tactical (managing the delivery of key compliance deliverables using a range of internal and external resources).The role includes managing Indirect Tax governance and related reporting. Working closely with the Indirect Tax Leader for GE Aviation and the senior Tax Operations Manager, the purpose of the Indirect Tax role is to lead the development and delivery of Indirect Tax compliance and reporting and to manage key Indirect tax compliance relationships.
- Management of Indirect Tax Compliance and Reporting for all Aviation entities
- Management of Indirect Tax Outsourcing relationships
- Development and Management of Compliance related tools
- Indirect Tax Audit management and support
- Indirect tax Cash Estimation and forecasting
- Review of VAT account balances and reconciliation
- Management of reserves and related documentation support
- Compliance and reporting process improvement
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge or experience
- Professional Accounting Qualifications
- Strong IT skills
- Strong finance analytical and presentation skills
- Strong process and project management skills
- Excellent communications skills to communicate complex tax issues, opportunities, and risks to non-tax experts in a clear and concise manner
- Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to drug testing, reference verification and background check
