Be part of the solution – Can you support tactical communication and information systems for the British Army?

This is an opportunity for you to be part of the team providing technical engineering support for users including the UK MoD and other customers of the fielded BCIP system. You will offer with real time assistance and in-depth analysis for incidents and system issues.

A typical day for you in the role will include:

  • Providing in-depth technical support by liaising with military personnel including visits to UK and overseas MoD and other customer locations
  • Managing issues related to the safety, security and usage of deployed systems to maintain the capability available to end users
  • Helping users to diagnose faults, conduct incident investigations and resolve issues with deployed network infrastructure and applications
  • Replicating issues at the In-Service Baseline Reference facility and documenting results, workarounds and recommendations in technical investigation reports

You will bring with you your experience in:

  • Working ‘hands on’ within a Telecommunications (IP/RF) environment
  • Working in a Military Environment (on Operations or Exercises) with an understanding of UK Forces Operations
  • RP/IP based network, IP/routing, PCB, electrical, mechanical and computer systems hardware fault troubleshooting ability
  • Joining a small but established team and close working team you will work alongside our customers which will utilize your communication and decision making skills.

Ideally, you may also have experience of some of the following:

  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering and ITIL Best Practices
  • Knowledge of Defence Standards
  • Knowledge of the use and handling of cryptographic material
  • Knowledge of health and safety at work legislation and practices
  • HGV license and valid CPC
