Job Purpose:
Reporting into the IT Delivery Director you will be responsible for the line management of regional IT & IT project employees, datacentres and IT infrastructure. You will also be responsible for the management of all supporting 3rd party suppliers. Working in line with the group IT strategy you will own the relationship between the regional businesses and the IT organisation and work to deliver service to agreed and measured SLA's. As a senior stakeholder in IT projects in your region you will work to ensure these are delivered on time, cost and to budget.
You will be responsible for managing & prioritising demand from all internal and external customers whilst maintaining a strong customer intimacy throughout the IT support process thereby managing the supply of Core Solutions and bespoke IT solutions. You will be responsible for the business development function aimed at promoting existing IT solutions across the business.
Major Tasks and Activities:
- Identification of business requirements through business architecture in accordance with technical standards defined by CTO
- Effective staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees
- Initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinating communication with all areas of the business
- Carrying out regular business service reviews
- Management of regional datacentres and infrastructure
- Ensuring quality review with 3rd party suppliers are completed and recorded
- Coaching team members to ensure continual improvement.
- Line management duties of all team members.
- Own recruitment of team vacancies when required.
- Managing escalations from business units & division on projects and business as usual.
- Reporting into the Service Delivery management team on progress against objectives
- Ensuring service delivery concerns and challenges are met and responded to within effectively
- Defining strategy with the Division & BU to support new requirements
Additional accountabilities:
- Any other duties as deemed necessary to achieve department goals
Key Outputs/Deliverables
- Ensure KPI's are met across service delivery
- Continual process improvements to help assist in better IS Delivery
- Ensure projects delivered to time, cost & quality
- Effective communication into the PMO, divisions and Service Delivery management.
- Reporting to Senior Management team / Divisions on IS achievements and challenges.
- Responding to and successfully managing escalations from within and out of the PMO.
- Person Specification
Qualification and Experience:
- Significantly experienced IT professional, focussed on being a part of a cost effective and efficient Service Delivery Team
- Able to operate independantly
- At least 10 years of Management experience in the IT sector
- Strong written and verbal English
- Additional European languages are a distinct advantage
