Roke are currently looking to recruit a Production Quality Engineer to join our busy Quality Assurance team, based at our headquarters in Romsey. 

Reporting to the Company Quality Manager the successful candidate will be outgoing, confident and able to work well at all levels of the business with a minimum of direct supervision.

What will your role look like?

You will undertake a broad range of QA tasks primarily in support of a busy design, development and manufacturing environment with a focus on product quality assurance and quality control. All activities underpin existing Rokes ISO9001:2015 Quality management System. 

This will include:

  • Provide QA support and oversight to all aspects of Roke’s production operations. 
  • Create and maintain quality assurance and quality control documents, plans and records 
  • Liaise with suppliers on quality issues and assist the production department with quality issues 
  • Perform product release reviews 
  • Monitor and report on production Quality metrics 
  • Conduct, report and follow-up on process audits 

What would we like from you?

The successful candidate will ideally be educated to degree level, although consideration will also be given to applicants with an HND or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.

  • Experience of Quality Assurance in an Engineering and/or Production environment. 
  • Familiar with Quality Planning and auditing processes and have knowledge of common Quality Control and Quality Assurance tools and techniques, including Lean 6 Sigma. 
  • Able to communicate confidently, clearly and effectively at all levels of the business

Security

Due to the nature of this position, candidates must be willing to undergo, and eligible to achieve HMG security clearance (prior to appointment). As a result, candidates should ideally be a British Citizen however you can hold another nationality and have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.
