Job Title: DevOps Software Developer

Location: Bristol or Chippenham

Duration: Permanent

Security Clearance: SC (or eligible to obtain it)

About the role:

A leading developer of IT services are looking to grow their expert team of DevOp software developers. Working alongside enthusiastic, self-starters, I am looking for a hands-on developer, to contribute to a range of exciting projects within the Enterprise Solutions and Defence Division, based in either Bristol or Chippenham.

Key Skills:

• Knowledge of continuous build and test processes and toolsets
• Experience in the design, development, test and integration
• Experience in software development using Java

Experience in modern testing and DevOps technologies such as:

• Jenkins
• Git
• Maven
• Eclipse
• Nexus
• Linux scripting/ Windows powershell

O/S admin (user access, firewalls etc)

• Application/Servlets (Tomcat, Jetty, JBoss etc)
• VMWare
• Databases including PostgreSQL

Desirable skills:

• Familiarity with web application development, integration and testing (e.g. JSF, Spring)
• An understanding of a mixture of development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, DSDM)
