About the role
There are some really exciting senior opportunities within the MEH (Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC) Joint Venture on the Hinkley Point C project working for Cavendish Nuclear. At this stage the MEH JV Managing Director is asking all 4 partners to submit CV's of individuals that may be suitable for the top level of the MEH structure for review.
The MEH JV is a joint venture between Altrad, Balfour Beatty Bailey JV, Cavendish Nuclear and Doosan Babcock, responsible for delivering the Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC installation at Hinkley Point C (HPC). This programme of works will see 380km of pipework, some 20,000 valves, 9,325km of cables and 47,000 Lights, alongside other plant and equipment, installed in over 75 buildings; an overall programme value of ~£2bn plus to be managed. As a JV we will contribute to the delivery of the first new nuclear power station in the UK for a generation which will provide 7% of the UKs electricity generation capacity.
You could be part of that delivery team, and your input, expertise and passion will enable us to meet our commitment to Zero Harm and Right First Time as we safely complete the project on time, and on budget.
As a member of the Senior team on the MEH JV the Construction Manager - Logistics will be required to manage the logistics on a day-to-day basis; including issues between the MEH partners and sub-contractors to ensure project delivery. Key to this will be to develop a MEH logistics strategy which will ensure adequate onsite storage and workshops are available and maintained (Site and area levels). This logistics strategy will ensure the project is delivered on time, budget and quality, and reported as per the HPC requirements whilst at all times promoting and maintain health and safety, including site inspections to ensure safety rules are being followed.
