About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Data Analyst to join a bid team to participate in the analysis of training data to assist in the development of proposals to modernise and optimise training solutions. This is to include the creation of models that explore operational efficiencies and run scenarios for future bid solutions. Responsibilities will include the creation, maintenance and interpretation of reporting, modelling and analytical content using data obtained from multiple sources including web based decision support tools.
Your main tasks within this role will include collecting and collating training data for analysis. Populating data import worksheets. Conducting knowledge, skills and attitude analysis of specified data. Developing instructional design factors and instructional requirements worksheets. Updating cost benefit analysis worksheets with current data. Supporting the Advisor capability within the Business Unit. Implementing industry best practice for training analysis and ROI modelling by researching the environment and collaborating with SMEs to develop internal knowledge.
What do I need to do the role?
You'll need previous experience in a Data Analyst role.
Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:
  • Consolidated experience of DSAT (Defence Systems Approach to Training)
  • DCTS Instructional Design Course (or equivalent)
  • A basic understanding of the Advisor decision support tool
  • Strong in excel, database packages and Microsoft word and Powerpoint
  • BA/BSc degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, statistics or other quantitative discipline would be desirable..
What else do I need to know?
  • You should hold or have the ability to obtain SC security clearance.
  • Location: The main place of work will be Fareham / Portsmouth Area. The role requires a degree of flexibility; with a requirement for some travel between sites within the UK.
