Spares Account Manager required for an enticing permanent opportunity to work with a great team for a defence company based in the Gloucestershire area.

Requirements:
Manage the supply of materiel in accordance with requirements and associated contract KPIs.
Actively manage the commercial relationship with the MoD.
Maintain an excellent working relationship with the external parties within the remit of the contract to ensure that the Customer retains confidence in the company's ability to support projects.
Oversee and sometimes take responsibility for loading of Customer orders into SAP.
Monitoring the output of the 3rd Party packaging contractor to ensure an efficient and effective service.
Maintain good working relationships with all team members, providing spares advice and support as required.
Implement and manage a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) regime with UK suppliers and European partners
Identify opportunities for improvement in spares management.
Maintain regular contact with finance and credit control departments to ensure that the MoD account is current by understanding, investigating and resolving supply discrepancies.
Maintain regular, effective communication with the Customer, its service provider and the supply chain to ensure a common understanding of all supply chain issues, to include obsolescence and supersession, and routes to resolution. This includes the central After Sales Division.
Provide information, maintain records and carry out all duties in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
Liaise with colleagues in the wider supply team on a regular basis to share best practice.
Undertake any other reasonable tasks as may be required

Skills:
Understanding of the MoD supply chain
Outstanding organisational skills and attention-to-detail
Confident and assertive when dealing with the resolution of supplier issues
Quick to pick up new IT systems, and advanced skills at using MS Excel, and ERM systems such as SAP
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, articulate telephone manner and excellent written English skills

Experience:
Detailed background knowledge of automotive or truck parts and a good technical understanding of inventory and logistics.
Knowledge of military supply chain, inventory management and logistics (SNCO Supplier Trade)
ERM competency (SAP) and Excel skills
Understanding of military contracts
Analytical/financial background
Driving license as UK travel maybe required for this role
Able to Obtain Security Clearance to SC Level
