Role:
AIT Operator required for a defence manufacturing company based in the Surrey area. You will join a busy team assisting with the Assembly, Integration and Test process alongside external Environmental Test Phase.
Key Duties:
Assist with unit level integration
Assist with subsystem and system level
Assist with general AIT & EVT activities
Ensure you are applying safe work practises and tidiness
Assist with spacecraft activities at clients test facility - this phase entails 24hr on-call support for the 2 weeks
Assist with Payload Launch Finalisation activities.
Assist with Spacecraft Operations when needed
Qualifications:
Engineering HNC or equivalent/higher
You will need to obtain security clearance for this role
Required Experience:
You will need experience of RF testing supplement with experience using typical equipment e.g. Network Analyser, Spectrum Analyser, Power Meter, Oscilloscope etc.
Awareness of AIT best practices
Experience in spaceflight hardware, with integrated system testing at spacecraft level.
Experience of high power Navigation or Communications payloads.
Ideally from an electrical/electronic test background
Key skills:
Flexibility: willing to work irregular hours, weekends and shifts in busy phases
Unsupported overseas travel is required in this role to support testing in customer premises & test facilities in locations in Europe
Roughly ¼ of the contract will worked away from Surrey
You will be expected to present and discuss calibration and test results with the customer
