Role Summary/Purpose:
    The Avionics Product Support Leader is responsible for delivering to our customer excellence in product support services by proactively improving in-service systems performance and next generation product support of our avionics systems flying around the world. The Avionics Product Support Leader role requires product & system level technical knowledge, as well as demonstrated customer, stakeholder & team relationship building and virtual leadership experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
    Additionally, as the Avionics Product Support Leader, Key responsibilities will include:
  • Build, deploy and lead customer-facing technical teams: Driving in-service reliability of avionics products for both product support, in-service reliability and analytics
  • Build and lead a team that provides analytics tools: In-service reliability, product support engineering, and Issue resolution for our civil and military customers across several global sites
  • Advocate for customers and provide the outside-in view of our in-service systems performance
  • Manage timely and accurate FRACAS (Failure Reporting And Corrective Action System) data collection and reporting: RCCA's (Root Cause and Corrective Action) of returned components, and Feedback into NPI process across the avionics product portfolio
  • Ensure on-time execution of customer deliverables (contractual & otherwise) such as: Technical inquiries, reliability reports, 24 X 7 AOGs, CSA / PBL Product Performance Reviews & Contract Margin Reviews, and CRB / CRC meetings
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support business and customer metrics: repair TAT, NFF rate, fleet disruptions, guaranteed reliability, and cost of ownership
  • Represent GE Aviation
    - Avionics at technical in-service Customer meetings and symposiums, and bring VOC back to organization
  • Participate in new program introduction to ensure smooth transition of our products into in-service and support

    Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related field from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • 10+ years of major experience in Avionics Engineering development and/or support experience in the Military or Commercial Aerospace Market
  • 5+ years of proven management experience in Engineering and/or Program ManagementEligibility Requirements:

Desired Characteristics:
  • Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Some years of Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Demonstrated successful experience leading change in an organization
  • Ability to make or drive decisions in an ambiguous environment
  • Demonstrated capability to constructively partner and drive alignment across multiple organizations, levels and customers
  • Proven ability to put in place a management operating rhythm and execute on commitments
  • Deep technical product knowledge across avionics product portfolio (computing, networking, flight management, displays, etc.)
  • Strong familiarity and experience with Aviation industry
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex and critical information effectively to a diverse audience
