AWE are recruiting for a Data Integration Support Team Leader, to lead a team of Integration Specialists providing support to the integrations, APIs and middleware configured to transact data between corporate applications including multi-network, on-prem and cloud services. The team provide monitoring, reconciliation and troubleshooting for the technical support, maintenance and availability of Integration Services.

Location - Reading area

Package - £41,000 - £55,000 subject to skills and experience

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that the Integration Team is properly resourced and effectively delivering its commitments to both sustainment and project deliverables. Ensure that work undertaken follows applicable legislation and to MoD/SWE standards.
  • Assure the availability and functioning of Integration Services.
  • Support the day to day operational data integration between all corporate line of business applications including the support of a 'Distribution Database' or 'Data Hub'.
  • To manage the day-to-day sustainment application integrations, ensuring that planning, end-user impact, change management, training and quality management are properly addressed and monitored to ensure that deadlines, budgets and service levels are met, and results delivered.
  • To manage and develop the Integration Support Team. Support them to plan and prioritise their workloads, set objectives, conduct appraisals and to continually improve their performance and results.
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.

The following skills would be highly advantageous:

  • A-Level or HNC level education or the equivalent experience.
  • Desirable
  • Degree level education or the equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Membership of a recognised related professional body.
  • In depth understanding of one or more integration and middleware technologies:
  • MS SQLServer Integration Services, MS SQLServer Data Tools, Oracle Fusion middleware, Oracle ODI
  • Good understanding of relational database technologies: MS SQLServer, Oracle
  • Knowledge of scripting and operating systems: PowerShell, Korn Shell (or similar), Windows OS, Linux

The ideal applicant must be willing and able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
