Environmental Test Senior Manager - up to £70,000 + benefits - Southend on Sea

A leading defence and security consultancy are looking to bring in an experienced production manager to join their Environmental Test / Weapons Science team in Shoeburyness.

This is a key role and the job holder is accountable for the safe operation of the environmental test centre ensuring compliance, legislation and guidance standards.

The purpose of the role is also to develop an effective working environment that facilitates safe, vibrant and collaborative team working.

Experience and skills required:

• Environmental Testing experience
• Strong leadership experience (matrix of 60 people + contractors)
• Revenue and production knowledge
• Running facility
• Good understanding of HSE
• Experience of Process Improvement and Change Management.
• Degree or equivalent in an engineering or scientific discipline.

Desired:

• Experience within a hazardous environment
• Explosives
