Job Details

This is a key trainer role for the agency, co-ordinating and delivering the NCA on-boarding process, welcoming and equipping new officers for their careers in the NCA. 

Key Responsibilities: 

•Co-ordinate the NCA on-boarding process and deliver training to newly recruited NCA Officers in support of NCA business needs. 
•Provide specialist advice and knowledge to colleagues and partners to support achievement of organisational objectives and enable compliance with organisational policy. 
•Plan, design and develop training products which satisfy identified learning needs. 
•Deliver training and development products using appropriate methodology and materials and in the most cost effective and appropriate manner. 
•Facilitate, coach and mentor groups and individuals. 
•Determine and utilise assessment strategies to identified standards. 
•Evaluate training, learning and development programmes. 
•Develop and manage internal systems and processes to achieve and maintain corporate accreditation. 


All NCA officers must hold SC Enhanced upon entry as a minimum. 


You will be required to give evidence of the following criteria during the application process:

Technical Criteria 
•A sound knowledge of adult training. 
•Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills 
•In depth knowledge of knowledge of NCA activity.

Qualifications

Essential criteria 

QCF Level 4 or above in Learning & Development or equivalent. 
The minimum acceptable level, for application purposes, of Learning and Development qualification is NVQ Level 3 or QCF L3. All applicants must state their qualification level on the application form and confirm a willingness to work towards level 4 or higher if currently qualified at level 3. Please note, availability to work towards a Level 4 or above will be subject to business requirement.

Technical skills

  • National Insurance Number - Required for monitoring purposes only

Security

Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is security check

Security Check and Role Requirements 

To be considered for this vacancy, you will need to successfully complete SC clearance before commencing the role and for specified roles DV clearance within the first 12 months as part of your probation period. 

You will also be required to undertake a mandatory pre-employment substance misuse test and achieve a satisfactory result. 

To meet National Security Vetting requirements you will need to have resided in the UK for at a minimum 3 out of the past 5 years for SC clearance and a minimum of 7 out of 10 years for DV clearance. You will still be considered if you were posted abroad as part of your service with the HMG or armed forces or a UK government role during this period.
