ILS Engineer
Portsmouth or Bristol
ILS Engineer: A wonderful opportunity to join a world class Defence company as an ILS Engineer based in either Portsmouth or Bristol.
ILS Engineer - Responsibilities:
* You will be expected to work across a variety of engineering support disciplines and capabilities, so the successful candidate will be involved in the following areas:
* Analysing System Reliability and Maintainability data.
* Verification and validation of sub-contractor engineering data deliverables.
* Working across various disciplines to contribute to the production of quality support products including; FMECA's, maintenance schedules, technical publications, Production of technical reports to support analysis and derived maintenance.
* Using technical data to develop removal routes, and maintenance task instructions.
* Working in an ILS database (eagle) to input and manipulate data providing linked assets and integrated support products.
ILS Engineer - Skills and Experience required:
* Degree/ HNC or equivalent experience in a relevant Engineering or Science based discipline.
* Knowledge and experience of Electrical / Mechanical systems.
* The ability to identify & mitigate issues in the development of engineering solutions
* Ability to read and analyse schematic diagrams.
* Ability to analyse technical problems and provide solutions.
* Possess good verbal and written communication skills whilst working well within a team.
* Produce accurate technical reports
Desirable:
* Experience of utilising databases and understanding CAD models
* Knowledge of the Support environment for military equipment
* Familiar with product design and build processes
* Ideally will have experience within a maintenance/maintainer role from a marine environment such as shipbuilding, ship support or oil and gas, although Supportability experience from other areas is equally relevant and welcome.
* Familiar with production of support products such as maintenance schedules, technical documentation, FMECA, LORA. We will provide relevant training for any of the above desirables required for your role.
The successful candidate will be required to achieve full SC clearance for this role!!!!
