Our client is a large provider of technical services to the government and defence sector. They have recently been awarded a contract to deliver on a large programme focusing on the development of a new telecommunications system and require a security cleared Information Architect to assist on a temporary basis of 6 to 9 months, potentially longer.
You will be working alongside the Information Manager by providing information from the communication system (MODNET) in order to scope the activity required to implement solutions and meet policies of another system.
Key responsibilities will include the following:
- Providing updates to processes in the Business Process Library (BPL) and identifying new processes to manage structured and unstructured information
- Creating Business Data Models and schemas (s) for the implementation of solutions to store and manage structured information
- Managing data for MI reporting and exporting data to external bodies
- Implementing IT solutions as appropriate ie. Workflow to support Records Information Management (RIM)
- Developing taxonomies and data/information Management standards
- Producing the Information Architecture mapping which provides clarity to the project and engineering processes, the governance, reporting, artefacts and their locations
- Providing a consistent approach to information and knowledge management across all projects
- Ensuring that the Information Knowledge Management (IKM) processes are consistent
It is essential that you hold valid SC clearance and can demonstrate relevant experience of working in a similar role within the government and defence sector.
In addition, you must have knowledge and experience of working with Sharepoint.
