Senior Engineering Technician

Are you seeking an exciting new opportunity in the field of Electrical Engineering and want to provide technical systems support for electronic products used for military and naval applications?

The company is looking to recruit a candidate who has good technical knowledge of Electrical Systems to work collaboratively with design teams to integrate equipment onto platforms. You will be providing assistance to Field Support and Through Life Engineers who work on-board Royal Navy vessels and in engineering laboratories. The company offer a great salary and are a widely recognised provider of electronic products and systems which are used for naval, land and air combat.

The role will involve you representing the company as the first point of contact for customer operators and suppliers, where you will be assisting with the development of new maintenance and test procedures. Furthermore, you will be undertaking inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment remains safe and suitable for continued service, as well as diagnosing and rectifying faults.

Key Skills

*Good interpersonal skills and a positive attitude to technical challenges
*Plans own work adequately to meet allocated deadlines
*Communicates effectively verbally and in writing
*Able to write reports of a technical nature and present information to the broader engineering team
*Qualified to HNC/HND or higher level in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience
*Eligible for security clearance to a minimum of Security Check (SC) level with no caveats,
*Full driving license - this role is office-based with regular travel across company offices and customer sites as required by project demands
