Systems Safety Manager

My client is looking for an experienced Systems Safety Manager to support System and Product level Safety activities within their communication systems. Reporting into the Communications Safety Lead, the successful candidate will have a proven track record of carrying out System Safety Assessment and building reasoned assurance arguments for nested systems within an integrated life-cycle spanning the Systems, Software, and Hardware engineering functions;

About the role:
Essential Skills:
*Be skilled in Acquisition Safety Management such as ASEMS (POSMS) or an equivalent safety management system (SMS).
*Working knowledge of MOD safety regulations and guidance.
*Experience in creation and management of hazard logs.
*Experience of tools and techniques for safety and environmental risk management.
*Working knowledge of Environmental Management such as ASEMS (POEMS) or an equivalent environmental management system (EMS).

Desirable Skills / Experience:
*Knowledge of the Greening Government initiatives and sustainable procurement.
*Knowledge of Land System regulations for Safety and the Environment (DSA02.LSSR etc.).
*Higher technical education in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent professional knowledge
*Familiarity with MoD safety regulations and guidance.
* Good oral and written communication skills in English
* Cooperates and works well in a team
*DV cleared or ability to gain DV clearance within 6 months of contract start
* UK National

Systems Safety Manager
Base: Wiltshire
Salary: Up to £50 p/hr

The role will require all employees to achieve and maintain SC security clearance or above without restrictions that will inhibit the individual's ability to fulfil the requirements of the role. Your eligibility for the appropriate level of security clearance may be discussed with you during the recruitment process. Any existing clearance holders may be able to transfer clearance (subject to approval).
