About the role

Here at Babcock International we are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer based at our site in Ashton, Bristol. You will join a team that has vast experience in Manufacturing and provide professionally competent specialist services to our many clients.

Using your experience, you will utilise the ERP System to create requisitions for materials, produce manufacture routings and shop orders for fabricated and welded components up to 15 tonnes of complex construction and high integrity. They will carry out 'Design for Manufacture' with our design teams and support our procurement team with equipment in the Supply Chain.

The successful applicant will join a diverse and dynamic team of production, project, engineering and other functional staff working together to deliver exciting cutting edge defence projects to UK and international clients.

What do I need to do the role?

It is expected that the successful candidate will take full ownership of the assigned tasks to assist in achieving the project objectives.

  • Proven Fabrication Manufacture Engineering experience.
  • Must have completed a fabrication / plating apprenticeship plus minimum additional 5 years shop floor experience.
  • Extensive fabrication manufacturing knowledge and ability to estimate operation manufacture cycle times of single piece part components
  • Knowledge of welding and NDT processes.

What else do I need to know?

  • The role will be based in Bristol, Ashton.
  • Successful candidates must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance.
