About the role
Here at Cavendish Nuclear we are looking to recruit an Electrical Technician based at our site on the Whetstone Estate in Leicester. You will join a team that has vast experience in Nuclear Engineering and provide professionally competent specialist services to our many clients.
Using your experience, you will carry out all the duties of an Electrical Technician to deliver assembly, wiring and test activities on a variety of electrical and electronic assemblies, including reactor in-core inspection and safety circuit equipment.
This is a highly rewarding position working within a market leading nuclear engineering organisation. We support UK and international nuclear power stations with a range of services and strive to be best in class across our various contracts.

What do I need to do the role?
- Ability to wire, test & assemble PCBs.
- Understanding of fault investigation and repair of analogue PCBs (discrete through-hole components and ICs) using bench meters, oscilloscopes and other test equipment.
- Production of detailed investigation and fault reports, including identification of root causes (with Engineering assistance).
- On machine wiring of electrical and electronic devices, including cable management and termination.
- The role will be based in the Whetstone Estate, Leicester with UK travel
- Nuclear experience is not a necessity, applications from all engineering domains will be welcomed
