Are you a passionate CATIA designer who has commercial Design Office / Drawing Office experience? Are you looking to work on interesting on detailed designs? Looking to design products that will go into space? Then this is the role for you!. As an Experienced Design Engineer you will focus on the development of innovative design solutions answering complex challenges in a multifunctional context. You will be joining a Project team of up to 5 people who are part of dept of 70 and MDO Group of 20. We are looking for someone with CATIA experience and we are happy to train you from CATIA / CATIA V5 to

CATIA V6. Main tasks and responsibilities for this role are:

??? Responsible for maintaining a high degree of CAD competence in spacecraft design & accommodation including Detailed Design within an engineering group or Project team environment.

??? Providing good engineering design support on bids, studies & project work.

??? Liaising with internal & external customers in the product groups & business units.

??? Liaising with stress, thermal & mechanical sub-system groups & having a good appreciation of their work.

??? Carrying out DMU design accommodation activities given a detailed top-level requirement specification with little or no guidance.

??? Responsible for the creation, control, correctness & accuracy of all drawings, models, Digital Mock UP (DMU), bills of materials & engineering change notes as related to the configured items for allocated project(s) to cost & schedule.

??? Ensuring all outputs from the Mechanical Design Office (MDO) is correct to the project requirements as stated by the core team (generally the Mechanical Architect/Responsible Engineer). All the project DO outputs must be checked, signed & stamped by the MDO lead design engineer to the checklists & CATIA procedures.

??? Administering the release of drawings, BOM's & ECO's related to the allocated project.

 

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company???s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

 

??? Strong and in-depth CATIA experience, we are happy to travel to V6 level

??? Commercial experience in designing structure components and assemblies that are optimized in terms of weight, cost, performance, production / assembly requirements while highest safety of the Product is assured using appropriate design tools.

??? Ability to verify the compliance of a detailed design solution toward baseline of validated requirements for a single sub-system / equipment / component / module
