Role Summary/Purpose:
    The Senior Product Marketing Mgr is responsible for leading marketing initiatives for the UK-based Avionics business including: strategy & market research, product value creation, pricing, new product introduction, branding, partner/channel strategies, and sales campaign support. This highly visible role requires strong analytical skills, imaginative thought leadership, external focus, and excellent communication skills to influence key market strategies.
Essential Responsibilities:
    The product marketer will work across the diverse array of Avionics product lines to help grow the business in current and adjacent markets. Responsibilities include:
    • Create product value propositions through understanding of customer requirements
    • Assess competitive landscape (entitlement, competition, trends), and recommend growth strategies 
    • Perform competitive assessments
    • Provide due diligence to support BD / M&A activities
    • Lead Growth Playbook process for UK-based Avionics site
    • Provide campaign support to Sales Directors
    • Conduct detailed customer segment analysis
    • Develop Marketing deliverables for new product introduction.
    • Create messaging / brand and organize promotion via trade shows, conferences, press releases, etc. through interface with Communications
    • Provide dotted-line management to Marketing & Communications analyst
    • Travel upwards of once per month to support sales campaigns, voice-of-customer, and strategic planning sessions (Europe and US primarily)
Qualifications/Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience
    • Significant commercial experience either in marketing, strategy, product management, or sales.

Desired Characteristics:
    • Masters degree: Business Administration (MBA), Economics, Marketing, or Finance  or equivalent knowledge and experience
    • Experience with diverse aviation products and services
    • Broad knowledge of aerospace and aviation industry key players and business models (airframer/aerospace OEMs, airlines, business & general aviation, UAVs, helicopters)
    • Strong knowledge of avionics systems (controllers, flight management, displays, computing, etc.)
    • Knowledge of industrial control systems (in support of controller adjacency business)
    • Intense curiosity and ability to envision & assess growth opportunities in adjacent markets
    • Familiarity with civil and military aviation/aerospace acquisition processes
    • Ability to assess and recommend pricing strategies
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
    • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
    • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
    • Established project management skills
