About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Principal Combat Systems Engineer to join our team working within our Marine & Technology sector at our Bristol Office.
As Principal Combat Systems Engineer you'll use your expertise and wealth of knowledge of the practical application, of design approaches throughout the project lifecycle of Combat System Engineering to provide professional engineering support to all activities, as directed. You will work within complex multi-discipline teams, engaging with our Customers to produce unambiguous statement of requirements and manage project risk.
What do I need to do the role?
You will be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in an Engineering/Technical discipline and also hold a Chartered Engineer status. Membership of a relevant professional engineering body is also highly desirable.

We would also like you to have experience in all or some of the following:
- Ability to objectively assess different solutions against acceptance criteria (challenge and question)
- Management of project risk within the project lifecycle
- Development of design solutions, substantiated against statement of requirement
- IT capable; Office, CAD, Analytical software appropriate to discipline
- Role of Technical Authority in accordance with E&MT Governance Policy
What else do I need to know?
