About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Bid Author to join the team for a 12-month Fixed Term contract within Defence Systems.

What do I need to do the role?
As the Bid Author will report to the Manager Business Winning and be responsible for the following:
  • Delivering compelling written proposals in support of bidding activity
  • Contribute to proposal storyboarding sessions and pre-submission reviews
  • Managing contributors from across the business to generate supporting content
  • Identification of graphic design needs to enhance proposals

Lastly, you'll need a degree within an English or Marketing related subject could be an advantage.

What else do I need to know?
The role is likely to suit a highly motivated team player, capable of managing and shaping output from a range of multi-disciplinary contributors to develop a winning proposal.

  • Significant authorship experience from a technical, sales, marketing or PR setting.
  • Excellent written communication and influencing skills
  • Good business acumen
  • Previous experience with an established bid management methodology (Shipley etc.) and/or a technical background may be an advantage, but is not essential.
