- The successful candidate will be responsible to manage a value-stream team of Production Controllers and will support the Site Fulfillment Leader and Operations teams to deliver to the master production schedule. The Production Control / Fulfillment Leader (referred to as a Value Stream Fufillment Leader (VSFL)) ensures availability of all raw materials in line with the schedule.
- The Production Control / Fulfillment Leader will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in both short and long-term planning, and contribute to the execution of the overall business strategy.
- Follows the strategic direction that has been set by Site Fulfillment Leader for material operations within the organization
- Ensure full raw material availability to the operation in line with the schedule, covering both short and long-term horizons
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials in cooperation with the Sourcing team and lead recovery planning actions where deviation to MPS exists
- Reviewing short and mid-term capacity utilisation, working with Operations leaders to establish plans to ensure sufficient capacity is available to process the load through each work centre
- Manage inventory effectively by ensuring that Quarantine parts are actioned promptly and reviewing optimisation potential
- Drive cost out projects in all aspects of material operationsLead and encourage process improvement through Lean Six Sigma methodologies
- Support SIOP and Operations execution reviews
- Support the activity to maintain data quality and integrity within site systems
- Establish effective performance measures that can be used to alert management on delivery issues and potential late deliveries
- Develop and stabilisation of fulfilment team through strong leadership
- Support the commercial team in quoting on new business
- Plan and schedule change management for the Value-Stream
- Support the Site Fulfillment Leader in the generation of the site annual budgeting process
- Will be required to deputise for the Site Fulfillment Leader
- Demonstrable competence in supply chain management principles and practices, shop operations, facilitation and production control in a manufacturing environment and production planning essential
- Experience in team management
- Strong Excel skill essential
- MRP / ERP systems experience essential
