Section Chief (SAT)

LOCATION: Oeiras

SALARY: Negotiable daily rate

TASKS:

• Maintains liaison with NCSA SMs, OPRs, SMEs, ACT (JET), other NATO agencies/bodies as required and the instructor staff within NCISS in order to keep abreast of developments with regard to the Systems Approach to Training
• Is responsible for the design and development of courses newly assigned to NCISS
• Produces questionnaires and other assessment materials, tailored for specific courses as necessary
• Compiles and analyses statistical data and produces complementary written reports
• Identifies training deficiencies and initiates remedial actions and improvements e.g. re-design and /or further development of the course in question
• Responsible for the certification of civilian and military instructors
• Introduces Directives for SAT procedures in accordance with ACT (JET) Directives

REQUIREMENTS:

• Two years professional experience in designing, developing, managing and evaluating training programmes
• Demonstrable competence in technical instruction techniques and the development of training requirements, including Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and Training Objectives (TOs)
• Experience in the production and analysis of data
• Conceptual and practical knowledge of military CIS, combined with experience in training in a military environment
• Experience in a technical or engineering discipline Education / Training
• University degree in a Teaching discipline with an emphasis on mathematics or Higher Secondary education with a Post Graduate diploma in teaching adult students and advanced vocational training in Training Management and statistical analysis, coupled with an additional two years’ related professional experience
• Competence with database and spreadsheet applications and commercial analytical software
• Formal Training in NATO’s Systems Approach to Training Methodology or equivalent civilian or military qualification
• Standard Automated Data Processing (ADP) Level
