About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Procurement Specialist to join our Supply Chain team at Babcock.
You will provide professional Procurement support to departments; specific responsibilities will include leading strategic sourcing processes, negotiating contractual terms and conditions and managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and suppliers. Additionally, the Procurement Specialist will own value plans, delivering savings targets for their assigned areas of responsibility and will support supply chain design and rationalisation activities.
What do I need to do the role?
You need to be able to demonstrate significant experience gained in key roles within Procurement functions, ideally within large scale, complex business environments. Experience of working in a marine engineering environment would be an advantage but is not essential.

- HNC or HND level qualification in related business discipline
- Strategic sourcing experience
- Experience / knowledge of category management activities
- Deep understanding of product and service delivery
- Excellent relationship management and negotiating skills
- Proficient user of MS Office suite of software
