Senior Systems Analyst

Role Overview
A superb opportunity has opened up within our Client's busy Application Management Team. They are seeking a talented Systems Analyst/Application Support Engineer, with strong Linux skills and client facing capabilities, to join a secure government environment and assist with various Web Services and products.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and problem resolution for complex applications within Linux operating systems
- Build out and implement new applications, products and version releases
- Work with Product Development teams to determine root cause of problems, and be the main point of contact for key client application
- Follow change control procedures and best practices for minimising risk to production.
- Perform proactive/preventative maintenance tasks
Essential Skills
- Strong Linux skills
- Apache & Tomcat configuration
- Coldfusion 10 & Adobe Coldfusion Builder - Demonstrable technical competence and experience in ColdFusion and related frameworks (ASP.Net) as well as OO design principles and patterns.
- Understanding of XML,HTML,CSS - Good working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and libraries like jQuery
- Strong JavaScript development skills
- mySQL/PHP - Good understanding of relational databases e.g. MySQL
- Developing for UNIX Apache server, PHP, MySQL.
- SQL/TSQL
Desirable
- Developer knowledge of SQL Server 200/2005 including SQL reporting services
- Oracle 11g /Oracle Dataguard
- Internet Information Server
- Windows Server Administration
