About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Technical Support Engineer to join our Design & Completion division. Babcock Design and Completions conducts in house design, manufacture, installation, test and certification activities for modifications to Aeroplanes and Helicopters.

You'll be part of a team that has over 30 years' experience in Emergency Medical Services, paramilitary and civil aircraft. Delivering bespoke modifications and aircraft completions for a variety of aircraft types.
You will provide technical support of aircraft mission equipment from conception through to in service/operational use, including complex camera systems, video distribution and associated video LRU's, search lights, radio systems, searchlights etc. Therefore, you will work closely with our internal teams as well as the customer, working on system commissioning and fault finding.
You'll join an evolving department with plans for growth. This will create future opportunities and help with personal growth. You'll be given training where required as well as learning from a well established team of highly experienced engineers.

What do I need to do the role?
  • Previous knowledge of aircraft mission equipment (either installation, commissioning or fault finding and repair
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Aerospace apprenticeship, BEng, BSc or equivalent

  • Our headquarters are in Staverton, Gloucestershire.
  • We offer a competitive salary with potential overtime and bonus on offer
  • 40 hours per week
