SQL Developer (SC)

My client urgently requires a SQL Developer to be based on the client site near to Glasgow.

The project is to migrate existing SQL database and content from a legacy Windows platform to an up to date platform. Some functional changes are required to the database. Security aspects of the applications need to be reassessed.

Essential Skills
> SQL 2014 cluster
> Database Development
> Windows/ SQL Server
> Strong understanding of end to end software lifecycle
*Develop, optimize and implement stored procedures & functions
*Look at existing applications and review where improvements can be made.
*Analyst SQL queries - look to implement new queries and solutions
*To follow processes across change and release management - including testing processes
*Reviewing query performance and optimizing code
*Writing queries used for front-end applications (websites, desktop applications, or cloud apps)
*Working with application developers to create optimized queries
*Creating database triggers for automation, e.g., automatic email notifications
*Programming views, stored procedures, and functions
*Specify database tables to meet application needs
*Specify database table indexes to ensure that application queries to database run efficiently

Desirable Skills
> SSIS experience and development skills required
