Job Details

The Child protection team is a high profile part of the agency, working to protect children and young people from sexual exploitation and abuse. As a child Protection Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that high quality child protection work is provided within CEOP through the supervision and oversight of social work practice. You will work with senior managers to provide a strong strategic and operational lead on child protection in all areas of CEOP's work. 

The successful candidate will have demonstrable knowledge of all relevant statutory duties and responsibilities relating to children and families including all relevant legislation and guidance. The post holder will also have an understanding of complex child abuse investigations and child protection related police investigations and enquiries, and posess substantial post qualifying experience to include experience of the management of statutory social work services.

Experience Criteria 

You will be required to supply evidence of: 
 

  • Knowledge of all relevant statutory duties and responsibilities relating to children and families including all relevant legislation and guidance
  • Understanding of complex child abuse investigations and child protection related police investigations and enquiries
  • Substantial post qualifying experience to include experience of the management of statutory social work services

Qualifications

Candidates must evidence the following qualifications/accreditations to be considered for this role: 

• Social Worker accreditation 
• Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) registered Social Worker
