We are currently looking to recruit a G4 Senior Quality Officer to join our Quality Management Team (QMT) based in Tamworth. 

Forensic regulation is a high priority for the NCA. A Forensics QMT is an essential part of the Quality Management System (QMS) established in order to achieve the standards of regulation and accreditation as mandated by the UK Forensic Science Regulator (FSR). 

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding area of Forensics that provides reassurance to the Criminal Justice System in respect of the forensic processes employed by the NCA. 

We are seeking candidates who are 
Experienced in the implementation and maintenance of Quality Management, specifically in the field of ISO 17025 and/or ISO17020. 
Ideally, you will have experience of these standards in relation to Forensic disciplines and you will be a certified lead auditor in ISO 17025. 

Key Responsibilities 
• The successful candidate will manage the development of the Forensic Services QMS across the NCA, ensuring compliance with relevant ISO standards and the FSR’s Codes of Practice and Conduct (FSRCoP). 
• You will work collaboratively with external agencies and partners, as appropriate, to develop an understanding of the impact of Forensic compliance within UK Law Enforcement and supervise a team responsible for providing Forensic assurance, performing internal audits, developing and delivering training and supporting the organisation to maintain and expand its scope of accreditation in line with organisational strategy. 

To be considered, you will need to be able to successfully complete SC Enhanced clearance upon entry. 

You may also be required to undertake a mandatory pre-employment substance misuse test and achieve a satisfactory result. 

Essential Qualifications/Skills 

You will be required to supply evidence of: 
 

  • Certified Lead Auditor in ISO17025

Person specification

Experience Criteria 

You will be required to supply a suitability statement (in no more than 250 words per criteria) 
 

  • Proven experience of working within a Quality Management function within a multisite/ matrix management structure

Qualifications

Certified Internal Auditor in ISO17025
