About the role

Here in Babcock International we're looking for a Network Engineer to join us in our Portsmouth Office. Working as part of our large IT team, you will assist with the monitoring and maintenance of the Babcock Network Infrastructure encompassing Core Network, LAN, WAN, Firewall Management, VOIP and Wireless.

Your work will be split between projects and BAU, which will include network refreshes and data centre projects. Fault management and rectification will play a part in your role, as well as working with 3rd parties to perform operational maintenance.

What do I need to do the role?

You will need to have a proven background as a Networking Professional with experience in Cisco, Palo Alto, Netscaler and Riverbed. It is also highly desirable to hold a Cisco qualification such as CCNA or CCNP.

What else do I need to know about the role?

* You will work a 37.5 hour week Monday-Friday with flexible start and finish times
* You will be part of an on call rota (1 in 7 weeks)
* All applicants must have or be able to obtain SC security clearance
