Estates Surveyor, Ministry of Defence, up to £321/Day

Our client, the Ministry of Defence, are seeking a Estates Surveyor, to join them at Wyton Airfield, Wyton, Huntingdon PE28 2EA

Initial contracts will run for 4 months and offer a rate up to £321/Day.

IR35 STATUS:  Inside IR35 legislation. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement.

This role requires Active SC clearance. Applicants require active SC clearance or the willingness to go through clearance before starting on site. Candidates with current clearance will be preferred.

Role Summary

At the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) we are responsible for the management of the military estate. Land Management Services (LMS) are accountable and responsible for the delivery of prioritised & agreed work programmes & projects against the DIO Business Plan & to support Military Capability. LMS deliver a comprehensive estate surveying, subject matter expert service to all areas of DIO and MOD business and estate users. Delivery is via in-house service delivery teams of Chartered Surveyors and experienced technical support staff, with support from Industry Partners. This includes demonstration of effective stewardship of the defence estate and discharge of Department of State responsibilities. The Estate Surveyor will be responsible for the delivery of an agreed programme of estate surveying outputs and advice across all customers, as allocated by the Senior Estate Surveyor. Main Duties to include:

• Delivery of an allocated programme of commercial and general estate surveying services and advice to include: lease renewals, rent reviews, hirings, lettings, occasional use licences, valuations, wayleaves, easements, damage claims, bylaws and any other ad hoc land management issues as required.
• Provision of Professional Estate Surveying / Land Management casework and professional advice to MOD Customer and other stakeholders

Candidate Requirements

• Full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or a relevant land management degree is essential.
• A minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

Candidate Eligibility
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas cannot be accepted.
