Test and Assembly Technician

HYDROMECHANICAL TEST AND ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN - BIRMINGHAM
12 MONTH CONTRACT - £15.95 (PAYE) / £20.79 (LTD CO)

STR Group are working with a global aerospace company in the West Midlands and we are currently recruiting for Test and Assembly Engineers in Birmingham.

In order to be considered you must have the following experience and skills:

• Experience of working in a mechanical engineer business
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Ability to use and read micrometers
• To have worked in an assembly and testing environment
• Attention to detail with a methodical approach

Our client is based to the West of Birmingham and you will be working within a repair and overhaul facility. This will include to evaluate, build and test control systems using drawings and schedule of parts. This will involve deadlines and customer agreements.

Pay on this position starts at £15.95 per hour (PAYE) or £20.79 per hour (Ltd Co / Umbrella). Based on time in the position further increases will be made, based on your performance. This is paid weekly, upon submission of a timesheet.

Hours of work are between 6am and 9.30pm (early and late shifts) working Monday to Friday. Night shifts are an option at the advertise pay rates. Overtime can be offered after the initial mentoring process.
