Role Summary/Purpose:
    In this role, you will report to Executive Director - GEnx Customer Technical Programs (CTP) in Services Technologies. In addition, you will interface with multiple organizations such as the Service Engineering, the GEnx Product Line, On Wing Support and Commercial & Product Support Organization (C&PSO) based on business needs. This position will be located at the GE Caledonian site in Prestwick and require periodic travel.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Work with Services Engineering and CPM's to identify opportunities in Workscope Planning Guides & Customer Repair Specifications to optimize work scopes. Own the Workscope Planning Guide as appropriate
  • Provide leadership and execute engine root cause investigations, AWO, leading indicator programs and Module Life Cycle Plans (MLCP)
  • Participate in pre-induction and gate reviews for assigned contract to assure all technical workscope options are being considered, including defining the strategic workscope for the shop to execute
  • Work with Shop & Services Engineering Fleet Engineer to identify opportunities to recover scrap material…DR's, new repair definitions, manual updates… drive closure
  • Negotiate repair specifications with Customized Service Agreements (CSA) customers
  • Work with Services Engineering Fleet Engineers to develop field plans
  • Coordinate on-site Maintenance Cost Review Board (MCRB), Black Belts (BB) and headquarters to improve CSA productivity and Time & Material (T&M) competitiveness
  • Conduct onsite training to "stand-up" GE network MRO's
  • Work with onsite personnel to mitigate work stoppages and test cell FTY issues
  • Identify need for technical and program reviews within the organization
  • Lead technical reviews and participate as a reviewer
  • Develop requirements, process and tools to enable Analytics Based Maintenance (ABW)
  • Partner with GBSA partner shops to collaborate on new workscopes, new assembly/disassemble opportunities and tooling development
  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments as appropriate
  • Drive change by demonstrating clear thinking, articulate roles & responsibilities, manage hand offs between different organizations
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules and customer commitments
  • Foster and inspire a collaborative work style and display team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge or experience
