Engineering Technician - Avionics (x2)
Based at RAF Waddington, our client delivers supply chain management solutions to the Royal Air Force's fleet of E-3D Sentry aircraft. Employing over 90 people, they provide component maintenance, repair and overhaul for a wide range of aircraft components along with dedicated Buyers and Logistics specialists and support service functions such as Commercial, Finance and IT.
They have an exciting opportunity for two individuals to join the Avionics Team, working as Engineering Technician's:
*Position one - Permanent, full time working hours
*Position two - 12 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC), full time working hours
The main function of these roles is the test and repair of Avionic, Aircraft Electrical and PCB components whilst ensuring component MRO services; to include inspection, evaluation, repair and final test, are performed in accordance with approved technical publications, MOD requirements (MRP 145), company policies and workshop maintenance procedures.
You will have experience of working in an Avionics environment to include tasking on Avionics systems; Electrical systems and/or PCB repair and you will have either a Diploma in Aerospace Engineering, an NVQ Level 3 in Aeronautical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
You must possess the ability to understand Military Air Publications, OEM Component Maintenance Manuals or equivalent technical documentation and have proven knowledge of Commercial Aerospace/Military working practices.
You will demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a continuous improvement ethos and be willing to learn and develop in this role. Subject to customer requirements and business needs, to satisfy team flexibility, you will also have the ability to participate in flexible working such as on call/call out duty.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the UK and able to successfully undergo UK Security Clearance.
