An SC cleared Programme Manager is required by the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) for a 2-year contract based at Porton Down, Wiltshire.

In this role you will secure a new IS service provision for DSTL before the end of the current contract that achieves value for money, is agile, enables delivery of strategic priorities, aligns to related visions/strategies, and conforms to regulations.

You will need to:

• Ensure DSTL has continuity in the provision of its Information Systems services from the extant supplier to the new.
• Ensure DSTL is ready to transition to the new IS service solution at onset of new contract(s).
• Ensure DSTLl realises the benefits of the new contract by through effective business change and benefits realisation processes.

Essential experience:

• Demonstrable programme management experience within a defence IS environment - ideally an equivalent programme within the MOD or an associated environment.
• Strong commercial understanding and knowledge of government/MOD commercial procurement processes.
• Excellent leadership skills, a strong communicator and comfortable engaging a wide range of defence stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent supplier management skills and experience.

Active SC - Security clearance must be held prior to the start of this role.
